An Eclectic Hodge Podge of Life as a Missionary/Internet Marketer in Japan

Black Currants

I found a vine growing in a bush at the edge of my yard today. The Japanese call it mountain grape, and I think it might be black currants. I extracted it from the bush, and made it a little bamboo teepee to grow on.

The leaves look a bit like grapes or berries, and the stems are powerfully sticky and hairy. It might be a weed, but if it is, it’s the most pampered weed in history. We’ll see. photo(5)

I just had to throw in a photo of my very ambitious artichokes, too. If I had known how big they would grow, I don’t think I would have planted them.

Okay, it’s time to get busy with “real” life. I need to make a skype chat room for people doing The Plan at Simple Safelist. Some of them are going to make a fortune, but I need to be available to help them. I do have to go to work in a few minutes too. Two classes of 4 and 5 year olds. If nothing else, it’s not boring!
