The Power of Patience

Don’t underestimate the power of patience in your road to success.

Can’t wait to get what you want? Do you run out of patience when you don’t see results right away?

How do you react when you don’t see immediate gratification from your efforts? Do you persist, or do you get frustrated and lose hope?

When times are hard, and the road to your dreams seems long that’s when the power of patience kicks in. You mustn’t lose hope. Life is a series of small steps, and big success or change is often a series of small steps. Until your success is achieved, by definition, it will always be in the future, and you won’t be enjoying the benefits yet. That means that patience and hope will be necessary the entire time you are working to achieve your dream.

So the question is, how can we maintain hope when we are waiting for the results of our efforts, that seem to never come? How can we incorporate the power of patience in our lives?

The answer, oddly enough, is all around us in nature. Just look out your window and you will see the answer. You see, one of the greatest success principles is “You reap what you sow.”

If you put an apple seed into the ground, you will always, without fail, get an apple tree. In the same way, if you sow positive thoughts, they will led to positive actions, and when you sow positive actions, you will invariably reap positive results.

If you expend a great deal of effort trying to achieve something, and you don’t get the desired result, there can only be one reason. You planted the wrong seeds. That’s why there is always a hidden benefit in failure. It shows you which seeds were the wrong ones, so you can get rid of them, and turn around and plant the right seeds the next time.

Another lesson you can learn from this principle is that everything takes time to grow and mature. Nothing of value happens overnight. Your seeds need time to grow and produce fruit.

If you dig up the ground to see why your seeds aren’t growing, you will destroy the whole process. Don’t rush this process, just be sure you are planting the right seeds, and never underestimate the power of patience.

The most valuable seed you have is a positive attitude. If you sow a positive attitude, the harvest you reap will be valuable beyond words.

Everything you do will have a result. Every action is a seed that corresponds to a certain outcome. Be careful how you sow your time, money and energy. Everything does matter. Plant good seeds that lead toward realizing your dreams now, and trust that sometime in the future, you will reap the rewards of your efforts.

Use the power of patience to your advantage. And always act boldly.
